I'm Unable to find drivers for my Nokia Bluetooth peripheral device.
Start by installing the CD that came with your
phone (if available). It should have the original Bluetooth device driver
Nokia needs in order to work on your computer. While you may not see a
separate Bluetooth device driver, Nokia provides a software interface for
its phones. Previously, this software was known as Nokia PC Suite. For newer
Nokia phones, Nokia PC Suite has been replaced by Nokia Suite which is more
user-friendly than the earlier version.
If you don't have the CD, you can download a copy from Nokia.com. Make sure that you download the correct version for your phone. Once installed, the suite allows your Nokia phone and computer to communicate with one another. You can find the correct suite for your Nokia at Nokia.com's support section. First, find your model in the list and then click Software Updates.
If this doesn't solve the problem with the Bluetooth device driver, Nokia users can try a few different options including updating the computer's Bluetooth device driver. Nokia phones typically connect to computers via a Bluetooth dongle or Bluetooth network adapter. If the dongle or adapter isn't functioning correctly with the Nokia phone, then it may need to have its driver updated. Go into Control Panel > System > Device Manager and click on Network Adapters. Find your Bluetooth adapter in the list, right-click it, and choose Uninstall. Reboot your computer, re-launch Device Manager, click Action > Scan for Hardware Changes, and let Windows detect and reinstall your Bluetooth adapter automatically. It will load the latest device drivers for your adapter.
Now, use the Nokia suite software and attempt to connect your phone with your computer. If that doesn't work, the next step is to tell Windows NOT to download a Bluetooth device driver (Nokia) with Windows Update. After doing this, you may need to manually re-add the phone using your Nokia Suite's Add a Device tool. To tell Windows not to update the Bluetooth device driver (Nokia), go to Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings and choose "No, let me decide what to do" and then select "Never install driver software from Windows Update." Save your changes and attempt to connect your device once again.
Finally, make sure that your Nokia itself has the latest system software installed on it. Nokia.com's support section offers product specific guidance and downloads.
